Taggart’s Grill® was established in 1996 by Elaine Stoddard who purchases the land and a tiny building that used to function as a small service station / convenience store. Elaine built the restaurant, the waterfall / pond, and added much of the landscaping and flower beds that surround the restaurant today. After owning and operating the restaurant for 8 years, Elaine felt herself being pulled towards new adventures and was interested in selling the Grill, but she didn’t want to just leave it to anybody. Her first choice was one of her young and talented cooks at the time, 19 year old Kelsea Tuttle. Elaine informed Kelsea that she was planning to sell the business and asked her if she thought her parents might be interested in purchasing it. Kelsea then went home and successfully pitched the opportunity to her parents Steve and Lori and together the family purchased Taggart’s Grill in 2004 and have never looked back. Today Taggart’s Grill serves upwards of 1,000 customers a day and the Tuttle’s have seen the business grow year over year. Their secret... hard work, homemade food, and friendly service.
